Softpay and Dotykacka Collaborate to Introduce Tap-to-phone Payment Solution In Czech Republic and Slovakia utilizing Nexi as Acquirer

Tap-to-phone technology provider SoftPay has announced a strategic partnership with multifunctional POS system solution provider Dotykacka to meet the growing demand for contactless payment acceptance in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

The collective goal of this collaboration is to provide businesses with a versatile range of point-of-sale options, cater to the needs of mobile workforces, and offer self-service and emergency SoftPOS solutions, ultimately reinforcing businesses and delivering superior service to end customers.

Supported by Nexi

Nexi Central Europe (former SIA), providing acquiring services supported by SoftPay, enables the partner, Dotykacka, to introduce SoftPOS payment solutions across the Czech Republic and Slovakia. As the provider of acquiring for all Central European countries, Nexi’s extensive expertise in payment processing and strong presence in the financial services industry were crucial in making this partnership a reality.
Softpay offers a rapid and user-friendly method to initiate contactless payment acceptance on any Android-based device. The solution is available for download from Google Play and can be used in standalone mode or through versatile integration options.

”Expanding our SoftPOS technology to the vibrant Czech Republic and Slovakia markets is a significant milestone for Softpay. Our primary objective is to provide businesses in these regions with accessible and efficient contactless payment acceptance solutions that do not require specific hardware.” Ivan Sandqvist – Founder of Softpay

Payment Landscape in the Czech Republic

This partnership comes at a time when the payment industry is undergoing significant shifts. Recent market research reveals that more than two-thirds (67%) of consumers in the Czech Republic prefer conducting transactions exclusively through non-cash methods. This staggering figure emphasizes the growing importance of digital payment solutions. Softpay allows any Android device to function as a payment terminal, offering greater flexibility and enhancing customer interactions.

“As the payment landscape evolves, innovative solutions are paramount. We believe that our partnership with Softpay will play a pivotal role in driving this transformation,” said Petr Menclík, CEO at Dotykacka. “Besides that, partnering with Softpay is an outstanding experience, with clear communication every step of the way”.

With a shared vision of facilitating seamless, secure, and efficient payment transactions, Softpay and Dotykacka aim to provide tap-to-phone solutions that cater to the rapidly changing preferences of consumers in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
